Previous rumours shared by an anonymous Twitter account predicted the iPhone models that are expected to lose support with iOS 17. Now, a new report has shared the list of the models that will be supported by the upcoming software update. According to a report by iPhoneSoft, three iPad models may lose support with iPadOS 17. The latest report corroborates with the previous rumour and has outlined the models that will no longer support iPadOS 17.
The report claims that users need to keep in mind that iPad models which were launched after 2017 are expected to be compatible with iPadOS 17. However, older models usually don’t support the latest features and capabilities that are likely to arrive with the upcoming software.
As per the report, all iPhone models that can run iOS 16 will support iOS 17. A previous report claimed that three iPhone models will lose support with iOS 17.
iPad models that may not support iPadOS 17
The report claims that three iPad models will no longer support iOS 17 once the new software starts rolling out for the users. These three models include — iPad 5th gen, the 9.7-inch iPad Pro 1st gen and the 12.9-inch iPad Pro 1st gen.
The list of iPad models that are likely to be compatible with iOS 17 includes — iPad Air 3rd gen and later, iPad 6th gen and later, iPad mini 5th gen and later along with any iPad Pro model which was released in 2017 and later.
